The Australian Lebanese Association (ALA) and The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) of New Zealand are recognised as the sole representative of the Lebanese opinion in Australia & New Zealand and are a Chapter of the World Lebanese Cultural Union.  The ALA and  WLCU-NZ is in practice and principle a non-political, non-religious and non-sectarian organisation.  It is dedicated to creating goodwill, understanding, and unity amongst the Lebanese people.  It participates in any social or charitable project intended to assist the community in Australia and New Zealand, and in Lebanon on the broadcast principle of humanity.
